World Christian Broadcasting hopes for 2008 premiur

The Tennessean newspaper says that the new shortwave facility being built in Madagascar by World Christian Broadcasting will be ready to start broadcasts to the Middle East “perhaps in 2008″.
The newspaper quotes President and CEO Charles Caudill as saying that the organization’s budget, currently about $2 million a year, will double when the new station starts broadcasting in Arabic.
The entire operation is funded by donations from churches and individuals. About 70 percent of donations are from individuals and 30 percent are from churches, Caudill said. Several individuals donated $50,000 to $100,000 apiece last year.
