C Music now on Eutelsat's Eurobird™
C Music, the channel that broadcasts exclusive music videos 24 hours a day, began broadcasting on Eutelsat’s Eurobird™ 9 satellite on 30 October 2007. The powerful Eurobird™ 9 satellite, located at 9° East, will make the channel available to the bouquets of cable, satellite and IPTV operators for delivery in Portugal, Romania, the Czech Republic, the Baltic countries and elsewhere.
The channel, which started in England, covers three different themes: classical music, original movie soundtracks, and “chillout-lounge” music. Produced in a “pop” channel format with short segments and sequences, C Music is the new shop window for Symphonic Classical Music, adopting a unique approach that is totally different from the way in which the subject is normally treated.
C Music has chosen Thema as its sole agent for distribution worldwide and has already negotiated the channel’s availability in Asia using Eutelsat’s W5 satellite at 70.5° East.
