Benno Barnard - 'The Pendant'

Rudolph is a lonely, middle-aged man who lives in the past and reminisces about a way of life now long gone, that of the landed gentry to which his family once belonged. He still lives in the old family house, but most of the land is now gone and all he has left are his memories and heirlooms - most importantly his mother's ruby pendant which elicits strong emotions in him. These emotions are aroused further when a new Russian cleaner arrives in the house and Rudolph finds himself unable to control himself.

Find out what happens in Benno Barnard's 'The Pendant' - this week's Radio Book.
