VOA introduces shortwave for Urdu service
Starting 30th March the Voice of America (VOA) reintroduces 2 hrs of broadcasting on shortwave for its Urdu Service after it was discontinued from 28th January:
0100-0200 UTC on 7145 11805 kHz.
1400-1500 UTC on 9580 15255 kHz.
This will definitely improve reception in Northern and Eastern parts of India. The mediumwave channels 972 and 1539 kHz will continue to broadcast for 12 hours a day at 1400-0200 UTC.
