Bolivia
6134.80, Radio Santa Cruz, 0916-0930, At tune in, noted steady CP local music. "5 en manana (Morning) y 16 minutos ..." lengthy comments in Spanish follow by a male, while the signal remains at a good level. (Chuck Bolland, FL)

5952.40, Radio Emisoras Pio XII, 1015-1030. Had trouble tuning this in for a few minutes. Seemed like there was no audio, eventhough the carrier was reasonably strong. At about 1020 finally got some audio with two males in Spanish with comments. At 1031 thought they were going into music, but was just a couple of bars as far as I could tell. 5952.41, Radio Emisoras Pio XII, 1025-1035. Threshold audio signal during female announcer's Spanish comments. Signal very difficult to hear due to extreme fading. I had checked this earlier (1005) and it wasn't on the air or hadn't faded in yet? By 1031 all I could hear was the carrier since the audio had faded into the noise. (Chuck Bolland, FL)

5050, Guangxi Beibu Bay Radio (Nanning 954) (presumed), 1058-1137. Vietnamese. Music as slow contemporary. Signal beeps and announcements by male announcer at 1100 then followed by more music. Announcements by woman at 1130, then talk by man/female duo. Initially signal was moderate signal was declining to poor. Weak station heard below them on 5050. Possible second frequency found on 9820 with similar music program, but not strictly in parallel. (Jim Evans, TN)

Clandestine
15410, Radio Y'Abaganda, via Issoudun at 1709. Program repeating service telephone announcement as, "we are sorry, you have reached...", pause and then programming kicked in with two men in Swahili. Costa Rica
5954.15, ELCOR transmitter testing?, at 2310-0005.+ Tentative with non-stop English and Spanish pop ballads by Shakira and others. Brief Spanish announcement at 2341 UT. Good level but poor to fair overall signal quality due to adjacent channel splatter. Very difficult after 0000 UT due to adjacent channel splatter. (Brian Alexander, PA)

13710 Came across of Saturday only transmission of "Evangelische Missions" at 1100-1130 UT in Russian language to all Russia and CIS states. M&B Nauen site, 250 kW at 20 degrees, S=9+20dB signal. Bible reading. Nice back lobe signal.(wb, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews May 8) (BCDX 963/Top News)

Lite instrumental music at 0843. DJ talk at 0845 UT with personal Mother's Day greetings sent out. Poor to fair. Better than usual. Nice to hear quite a few ID announcements. 4869.93 RRI Wamena 1200-1220.+ Out of music into talk at 1200 with no station SCI intervak signal or intro. Presume Jakarta program since // to 3325 and 3344.96. All freqs noted as poor. Also heard next day (6 May) with Jak program at 1200. (John Wilkins, CO)

Malaysia
7295, RTM, Kuala Lumpur, (pres)1040-1100. Tune-in to female announcer, possibly in news with comments, followed by music. Signal was rather weak, so not sure if I heard English. After a few minutes of music, the female returns in comments. Still couldn't be certain on the broadcasting language. Signal observed as poor. (Chuck Bolland, FL)

5929.99, Radio Rossii, 0908-0930. Noted Russian language comments from both male and female during the period. At 0910 some music presented, but only as break in the format. The carrier of this station was good, but the audio needed a lot of help. It was very poor. What's that situation referred as? Over Modulated maybe? (Chuck Bolland,FL)

12065 Voice of Russia (Chita-Atamanovka), 1308-1315. English. Talk by woman to male's mention of Russia, the United States, and Voice of Russia. Signal very poor with fading which made it difficult to understand more of program content. Talk by man at 1315 with signal down to threshold level. (Jim Evans, TN)

15105, Deutsche Welle (Trincomalee) relay, 1251-1256. Indonesian. Contemporary music as instrumental. Talk by woman at 1252 with short pop vocal music bridges. Talk by man at 1256. Poor signal, barely above the noise. Possible parallel noted on 11770 with similar signal. (Jim Evans, TN)

11905, SLBC (Ekala), 1220-1230.* Tamil. Local music with short announcements by a woman. Announcements at 1230 followed by end of broadcast. Did not switch to Hindi per schedule. Initially poor to moderate signal on a clear frequency, gradually decreasing in strength. (Jim Evans, TN)

7200, Radio Omdurman Al Fitahab, 0230-0250. Arabic. Wailing voices which sound like Call to Prayer. Brief male announcer. Echo effect and passing mentions of Sudan at 0248 followed by talk. Signal fair over co-channel from Iran's VOIRI. (Scott Barbour, NH)
