All India Radio updates
All India Radio, Kurseong ( West Bengal) 50 kW shortwave transmitter on 4895/7230 kHz has been decommissioned with effect from 7th August, 2019. They are now on FM 103.5 MHz, 10 kW & 102.3 MHz, 5 kW.
Meanwhile the local officials & MP has requested to replace the existing shortwave transmitter with a new 300 kW DRM transmitter .

All India Radio, Port Blair 10 kW shortwave transmitter on 4760/7390 kHz has also been decommissioned.
All India Radio, Mumbai 100 kW shortwave transmitter carrying external services on 7340, 11935 kHz has also been closed down .
All India Radio, Shillong 50 kW shortwave transmitter of North East Service on 4970/7315 kHz has also been decommissioned.
