You have undoubtedly heard the latest news about the Russian invasion of
Ukraine today. It has almost continuous coverage on Radio and TV in Europe as
of this morning, and it makes everyone worried about the consequences for
European stability.
Just in case you hear from someone interested in Russia and Ukraine in these
difficult moments, you should know that we have increased our power on 1323
kHz, and we can reach these regions with a fantastic signal also on AM/mediumwave.
We increased our special news coverage, adding repeats of the most informative
and inspirational programs in English from 7 PM to 11 PM Central European Time
to support displaced people and cover the latest events.
On mediumwave 1323 kHz, we broadcast daily from 19:00-23:00 CET.

British DX Club, is reporting of a new listing in the HFCC database, of two new frequencies, registered from 24 Feb. 2022, for BBC World Service. These are presumably are targeted to Ukraine, via Woofferton, UK transmitters.

Larry Van Horn N5FPW, has been a radio hobbyist for more than 58 years listening to world events and monitoring military radio communications. He has spent over 40 years documenting activity in the military radio spectrum in his monthly Satellite, Utility World, and Milcom (Military Communications) columns in the pages of Monitoring Times, Satellite Times, and now The Spectrum Monitor magazines.

WBCQ 4790 kHz (Radio Angela) runs its final week of propagation tests February 20-26 US local date (February 21-27 world date) as follows:
0300-0500 UTC February 20-21 world date (10pm-12pm EST US date)
0200-0400 UTC February 22-27 world date (9pm-11pm EST US date)
Programs used in the testing are Behavior Night, Marion's Attic, From the Isle of Music, Uncle Bill's Melting Pot, Bluegrass Frame of Mind, Jetzt Geht's Los!, Tom Call Theater, Rock Wave and a sneak preview of WBCQ Concert Hall.
When the Radio Angela regular schedule begins world date is March 1 (US date February 28), these programs will be joined by several new shows presented by talent from around the world. So far the signal is performing well in most of North America east of the Rockies and several countries in western and central Europe.
