The full colour QSLs show Australian scenes and wildlife, and indicate the actual transmitter location and the name of the host broadcaster.

The Australian DX Report Radio is the EDXP's long-time broadcasting service, offering news, reports and schedule updates about international broadcasting, propagation, and monitoring.

Adventist World Radio worldwide network, every month, during the "Wavescan" program, on weekends. This may be heard over transmitters in Guam, Germany, and WRMI (Miami).

Please refer to the Websites of the host broadcasters for actual times and frequencies.

QSL Reports must include sufficient details for validation purposes, and indicate the date (UTC), time (UTC), frequency, quality of reception, and interference effects, and should be sent to: Radio EDXP, 404 Mont Albert

Aussie shortwave signals continue to flourish

HF propagation into Melbourne, on our shortest day, continues to be represented by good signals from Europe, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East during our late morning to mid afternoon periods on 6, 7, and 9 MHz.

There is also a special segment summarizing current reception here in Melbourne, of African signals in the 49 metre band, 2100 to 2300.

Australian DX Report expands media coverage

I thought you'd like to know that the popular weekly Australian DX Report Internet audio news magazine about shortwave broadcasting is also available to your mobile telephone, delivered as a Windows Mobile Podcast, and compatible with your SmartPhone or Pocket Personal Computer!

The service is offered, free, by various providers, one of which is the Hubdog Canadian-based Podcast delivery company, which means that you are no longer limited to accessing the episodes from a fixed PC. Play the episodes on the road at your leisure!

To set up your Windows Mobile Podcast, go to the Icon "Windows Mobile Podcast" on the Australian Internet Radio Magazine website, at http://airm.edxp.org and locate the Icon "Windows Mobile Podcast."

Click, and you will be taken to a Hubdog screen which links directly to the Australian DX Report Podcast and you can then register (free) with Hubdog, where you will be asked to submit some personal details and obtain a password for using the service with your mobile phone device.

You will need Windows Mobile Media Player installed on your mobile device (Windows Mobile Version 5.0), and access to the internet via Active Sync, Wi-Fi, or a Cellular Data line (GSM, CDMA, etc)

Several people are already linking to the Australian DX Report Podcasts via Humdog and they think it is a very useful way to receive the episodes!

Keep in mind that the episodes are around 15 mins, and consume about 3 MB of
bandwidth, which you would need to consider if using a mobile telephone on a tarrif limited plan.

Regards from Melbourne!

Australian DX Report # 86 available for download

The latest edition of the AUSTRALIAN DX REPORT weekly audio magazine has now
been released.

It's Edition 86, 13 mins, and is now located at a brand new site, "AUSTRALIAN INTERNET RADIO MAGAZINE" ("AIRM"):
http://airm.edxp.org/

A special Audio Tribute in memory of the late Norman Keith Glover, AM, former long-time popular announcer of Radio Australia, is available at the site, commemorating his passing in February 2006. The recording was made 25 years ago, in February 1973, and is a special episode of the long-running "Club Forum" DX program which was heard every week over Radio Australia. The recording was made at a national convention of shortwave enthusiasts here in
Melbourne, attended by nearly 100 people, and Keith was our Special Guest.

The program includes an interview with myself. The tribute was compiled by Rob Wagner (present day EDXP member) and myself - both of us have strong memories of that that meeting.

The "AUSTRALIAN INTERNET RADIO MAGAZINE", including the "AUSTRALIAN DX REPORT", is managed by myself, Bob Padula, in Melbourne, as a free service of the ELECTRONIC DX PRESS RADIO MONITORING ASSOCIATION and contains professionally compiled information about world shortwave broadcasting, with monitoring research.

You may subscribe (free) via Feedblitz to the AIRM and receive immediate Emailed notifications whenever a new episode of the ADXR, or other content, has been uploaded.

Details about the Feedblitz subscription service are available at the Website.

You may also subscribe directly by using this new Feedlitz link:
http://www.feedblitz.com/f/?Sub=360847

Now some more good news ... this new site allows you to listen to the ADXR and other audio features directly (streaming audio) via your MP3 player, or via the site's embedded mini-player. Podcasts and full RSS/XML/Atom feeds are supported.
