Following last year’s absence due to sad circumstances, we are happy to announce that we will be back with our annual Summer Splash in July. On Sunday, July 26th, August 2nd and 9th, FRS-Holland will take to the air. Three weeks in a row, each time on a Sunday evening between 19:00 UTC/ 21:00 CEST until 21:00 UTC/ 23:00 CEST. Contrary to our normal schedule, these evenings will contain themed programmes. Remember for instance (from previous editions), specials like Soul Land, Psychedelic, the Summer of Love, Made in Holland, German Underground, Travelling Sounds, Motown Classics, Summer Classics and 1990s.
The first Summer Splash edition took place in the summer of 2020, followed by editions in 2022, 2023 & 2024. We are eager to produce a total of six one-hour specials in July and August.
What brings this 2026 edition? Certainly interesting themes with a great variety of music and topics. Sometimes we really like to surprise our listening audience…so make sure you are part of our Summer Splash!
We will be on air on 7700//6400 kHz & 7400 kHz. This time no 5.8 & 9.3 MHz!
QSL, sticker and…FRS poster/ CD
Of course, another nice QSL card is waiting for you. And when writing to our PO Box, you will receive our colorful sticker with the station logo. For only 10 euros (!) we will send you a beautiful poster telling part of our history in pictures. As a bonus, we include our 45th anniversary souvenir CD.
