Radio Igloo to air on March 2

On Saturday, March 2, 2024, a new program from Radio Igloo will be on the air.

The West Coast DX-Club will have a listening camp in a cabin in the woods north of Gothenburg next weekend.

To draw attention to this, Radio Igloo will be on air with a new program with a mix of information and music with Swedish artists.

For the first time, the program will be broadcast simultaneously from at least four different transmitters, on different frequencies, and from different locations in Central Europe.

This has been possible thanks to our radio friends in Central Europe.

The program will be broadcast on Saturday, March 2 at 17.00 Central European Time (16.00 UTC) on   5010 or 5040, 5840 ,6260 , and 6300  kHz. (or on free frequencies nearby).

Presumably the program will be rebroadcast the following day at 15.00 CET but then only on 6300 kHz.

A brand new program from Radio Igloo

Next weekend, on November 19-20 November, Radio Igloo will be on air with a new program, also this time in co-production with the Westcoast DX-Club in Gothenburg, Sweden and sponsored by TRSW (Texas Radio Shortwave)

The program will include DX information about the Westcoast DX-Club and about The Swedish DX Federation. The information, which is in English, will be mixed with lots of music performed by Swedish artists.

Correct reports, preferably with an attached audio clip, and with comments about the content of the program will be verified with our new QSL card.

The program will be broadcast on:

November 19 at 18.00-19.00 UTC from Channel 292 on 3955 kHz
November 20 at 02.00-03.00 UTC from WRMI on 5950 kHz

Radio Igloo to broadcast Sept 25th

Hello friends of Radio Igloo,

When we were transmitting our last show on June 26th the conditions were bad. Lots of thunder over Europe and a Chinese on 6290 made the reception difficult in many places.

We have asked our Broadcasting Engineer to rebroadcast the show. He has agreed to do it in the evening on September 25th at 19.0 UTC (21.0 CEST) on 6290 kHz or on a free frequency nearby. The intermission signal will be on a few minutes before program-start.

An opportunity to hear some of our listeners' voices and their choice of music

 Greetings from a melting igloo
