Radio Netherlands program preview July 8 - 13

SUNDAY 8 JULY

*** Amsterdam Forum ***

This week Amsterdam Forum examines the rights and wrongs of adopting from
abroad.

In a recent wave of scandals it's come to light that some children adopted
by westerners have in fact been stolen from their biological parents. As it
becomes harder to adopt from Europe couples with the desire to become
parents are looking further afield for their new family members, but at
whose expense.

Child trafficking can not be tolerated, but how can it be controlled and
should children be brought up in their own culture at all costs? Is giving a
child any opportunity for a better future to be applauded? We debate these
issues with an expect panel and hear one adoptee's personal story.
