Brazil
Rádio Brasil Central, 4985, 0323-0330. Portuguese announcements to music at 0329, followed by more of same. Talk over music at 0332, strengthening over time. (Jim Evans, TN)

Rádio Difusora Macapa, 4914.9, 0336-0345. Portuguese programming of lively Brazilian pop music tunes. Poor signal with some fading and heavy CODAR interference. (Jim Evans, TN).

Rádio Trans Mundial, 11734.9, 1811-1838.+ Religious vocals in Portuguese to announcer’s occasional ID and “Trans Mundial” jingles. Good mid-day reception. (John Wilkins, CO)

Canada
CFVP (Calgary), 6030, 0410-0506. Classic C&W music to program announcements. Very poor signal at noise level with deep fades. Good signal peak at 0458, then down too far to understand 0500 announcement. Light co-channel interference from unknown broadcaster. Would be relaying “Classic Country AM 1060.” (Jim Evans, TN).

China
Yunnan PBS, 6937, 1212-1233.+ Pop and regional vocals to 1230. Announcer’s in unkown language. Observed music through a fair level, but could not make out much of the talk. (John Wilkins, CO)

Nei Menggu PBS, 7270, 1300-1315.+ Time pips to 1300, then possible station identification, and a bit of chat. Assorted vocal music selections hosted by lady announcer. Good signal, atop Kuching, // 9750 kHz which was good over Japan’s NHK. (John Wilkins, CO). Listed in Monitoring Times Extra as Mongolian service - gvh

Clandestine
Echo of Hope (presumed) 3985, 1207-1215. Announcer duo in Korean, observed on // 6003 and 6348 kHz. All frequencies severly jammed. (John Wilkins, CO).

Voice of the People (presumed) 3912, 1143-1154. Male announcer’s Korean talk to martial music at 1151. Noted heavy “roaring” jammer // 6518 and 6600 also being heavily jammed. (John Wilkins, CO)

Voice of Meselna Delina 15350, *1730-1758.* Opening ID by male/female duo with echo effect. “Dimts Meselna Delina” mentioned and assorted talks in presumed Tigrinya. Station off without fanfare at 1758. Very good signal, listed as via Samara. (John Wilkins, CO).

Djibouti
RDTV De Djibouti, 4780, 0310-0332. Arabic programming including Qu’ran recitations, followed by announcer’s talk. Local vocal music at 0320 to announcer’s update at 0332. Audio a bit low at 0331. Poor signal but stready. (Jim Evans, TN).

Ethiopia
Radio Ethiopia, 7110.06, 2040-2101.* Horn of Africa music to announcer’s talk - listed as Amharic. Sign-off with national anthem // 9704.18, both frequencies were poor and weak in noisy conditions. (Brian Alexander, PA)

Radio Ethiopia, 9704.18, 2020-2100.* Local tribal music to Amharic talk. Sign-off with national anthem at 2059. Signal fair in noisy conditions. Better on // 7110. (Brian Alexander, PA).

Guinea
Radio Guinea, Conakry. 7125, 2315-2335. Tentative with local African pop music. French talk during weak and poor signal quality. (Brian Alexander, PA).

Honduras
HRMI/Radio Misiones Internacional, 3340, 0615-0630. Contemporary Christian music to station ID at 0619, 0622 and 0627 as “Radio MI.” Mentions of San Bernardino, California address for reception reports. Conditions poor. (Brian Alexander, PA)

India
All India Radio-Bangalore, 9870, 0405-0435.* Hindi. Very enjoyable local music with brief program announcement. Chat at 0430, possibly the news. Closing items at 0435. Signal poor-moderate with fading, at times quite good on peaks. (Jim Evans, TN)>

Indonesia
RRI-Makassar, 4749.95, 1232-1256. Indonesian vocal music, hosted by male announcer; sounded like commercials or program notes at 1238. Tuned out at 1256 for fair signal quality. (John Wilkins, CO).

Laos
Lao National Radio, 7145, 1334. News on Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia signing memorandums of understanding for better cooperation. Data on HIV cases in Laos, rubbish pickup issues, South Korean airline in negotiations for direct flights between Laos and Seoul, and other related stories. Closing news with, “ that ends our program. You have been listening to the Lao National Radio, broadcasting from Vietiane, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.” Sign-off at 1356, from usual time at 1401. (Ron Howard, CA).

Lao National Radio, 6130, 1210-1311.+ Assorted talks in presumed Lao to 1230, then Lao vocal music hosted by male announcer. The news continued past 1230 until 1306, followed by male announcer. Fair but gradually weakening. (John Wilkins, CO).

Lao National Radio/ Houa Phanh Provincial Station, 4412-60, 1200-1232. Sam Neay presumed with music (anthem ?), then scraps of talk at 1232, when suddenly station went off. Seemed to be // 6130 during the talk, but can’t be sure due to the very weak signal on 4412. Varied slightly to 4412.58 by 1230. (John Wilkins, CO)

Malaysia
Suara Islam, 6175, 1418. Vernacular text with pop music. News at 1500 and ID as “Suara Islam FM” and “Radio Suara Islam, Kuala Lumpur.” Signal fair-good; // 6049.60v (fair-poor). (Ron Howard, CA).

Malaysia/Sarawak
Sarawak FM, 7130.52, 1258-1320. “Sarawak FM” jingle before and after 1300, then vocal music. Good signal, noted missing the previous day. (John Wilkins, CO).

Myanmar
Myanmar Defense Forces Broadcasting Station, 5770, 1230. Usual 1230 program routine of indigenous music, military march band with bugle call. Vernacular spoken to pop songs and indigenous songs. Signal almost fair. (Ron Howard, CA).

Philippines
Philippine Broadcasting Service (tentative) 6170.40, 1217-1229. Not sure what to call this - is a the relay of 1278 AM MW DWRM Radyo Magazin (or Magasin ?). After numerous attempts to hear this, finally heard some audio above threshold level with a woman speaking, but too weak to identify. Very nondescript, but definately something here. Adjacent interference from Suara Malaysia on 6175. Later on 1259, New Zealand on 6170 kHz covers frequency. Heard from 1217-1259. (Ron Howard, CA).

Russia
Voice of Russia, 7225, 2301-2310. News in Russian, followed by talk portion after 2305. Moderate signal with some fading and 7285 (via Grigoriopol) with stronger signal. (Jim Evans, TN).

São Tomé
Voice of America relay via Pinheira, 4960, 0422-0430. Two lady announcers chatting. At 0425, talk regarding Nigeria by African-accented man. Station ID by announcer at 0429 and 0430, followed by newscast. Signal poor-moderate with fading. VOA also noted on 4930 (VOA Botswana relay), not strong enough to determine if parallel frequency. Thailand
Radio Thailand World Service, 7260, *1100-1117. Vietnamese/Khmer. Station interval signal and RTWS mentioned in English, followed by news in Vietnamese. Talk with brief music bits. Interval signal followed by, “this is HKS9,” sign-on announcement. Khmer service followed. (Scott Barbour, NH).

Vatican City State
Vatican Radio, 9650, 0100. Listed as Tamil service for announcer’s segments into Hindi style music at 0109. Additional talks by announcers until interval signal at 0018 and station identification. Signal fair at best. (Scott Barbour, NH).

Zambia
CVC Intl/ The Voice Africa (presumed) 4965, 0431-0435. English service per schedule. Music followed by announcer duo’s talk segments. Very poor signal, fading badly at noise level. (Jim Evans, TN).
