Welcome to our weekly guide to Radio Netherlands Worldwide's English Service - a list of the new programmes coming up on Radio Netherlands Worldwide this
week, beginning on Saturday.
SATURDAY 19 September
*** The State We're In ***
We're hearing from a man who is working to demobilse some of the 20,000 child soldiers in Congo. We hear about how people treat each other online - from too nice to nasty. Does the anonymity of the internet give us the right to behave differently than we would in real life? And we look at how people treat each other in the air. Have the rules to enforce good behaviour on planes gone too far?

*** Radio Books (primary program) ***
'Legion' - by Peter Verhelst
Flemish poet, novelist and playwright Peter Verhulst was born in Bruges in 1962. He has won many major awards for both his poetry and prose work which often employs classical references. Critics have described his language and imagery as poetic, cryptic, sensual and bizarre.
All these adjectives apply to his story for Radio Books. A group of archaeologists are in a race against time to recover treasures from an ancient Mesopotamian city before a new dam floods the area. But ancient and modern worlds collide when soldiers arrive on the scene.

Muslims in the Netherlands may be getting a bad press these days, but all over Amsterdam they're trying to show people we're all the same. That is why community groups have been inviting people across the capital to join an iftar - the traditional meal served to break the fast each evening during Ramadan.
But it's not all Kumbaya. We'll also hear about the row over a new tax proposal - for Muslim women wearing head scarves. And we'll play you a tune. This week's feature music artist is the Horse Company.
