'Ascension Day' - by Leo Pleysier
Belgian author Leo Pleysier made his literary debut in 1971 with a collection of short stories. His work is often based on members of his family and the countryside near Antwerp where he was born and still lives.
In his Radio Books story, Pleysier looks at the landscape from a different perspective. The narrator contemplates the countryside he knows so well from high in the air as he takes a ride in a hot air balloon.
