Private FM station in Tunisia has one million listeners

According to a recent survey, “Radio Mosaïque FM”, a Tunisian private radio station, is breaking all audience records with some 1 million listeners a day. By increasing its penetration rate over the greater Tunis area, it now boasts 49% of the 57% audience share for this area, as well as 57% of the average listening time for the 20 to 39 years old age bracket, pointed out the survey undertaken by by market- research company “Mediascan”.
The radio station’s website is visited by some 100,000 people everyday, as well as live audio stream and a live webcam from the studio.
Radio Mosaïque FM is Tunisia ’s first private radio station, launched in November 2003 on 94.9 MHz in Tunis . Two years later a second radio station, “Radio Jawhara FM” was also launched from Sousse , targeting the west central part of the country.
