
At the recent All India Radio DRM workshop at New Delhi for the Asian Broadcasting Union, I spoke at length to Mr Thinley Dorji, Station Engineer, Bhutan Broadcasting Services. He said that the modulation part of the new 100 kW Thompson transmitter (donated by Government of India ) was broken during transit, replacement has arrived and the new transmitter is supposed to be on air by end of this month ( May 2007). The old transmitter will be used as stand by.
