Greek journalist on strike - no TV news & radio bulletins

Greek journalists have gone on a 24-hour strike in connection with a corruption scandal. As a result, all today’s radio and television news broadcasts have been cancelled and no newspapers will appear tomorrow. The strike was prompted by reports that stockbrokers charged excessive commissions for investing millions of euros from the journalists’ pension fund in government loans. The strikers are also demanding higher wages and better working conditions. The pensions scandal has already led to the resignation of the Greek Social Affairs and Employment minister Savvas Tsitouridis.
