3C, EQUATORIAL GUINEA. Elmo, EA5BYP, announces that a DXpedition to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea (Bioko Island AF-010) will take place between October 5-14th. Operators will be Fred/KH7Y, Luis/EA5BRE, Vic/EA5YN and Elmo/EA5BYP. The team will operate with two stations and will sign 3C7Y for 10 days. Activity will be on all bands and modes SSB, CW and RTTY. 3D2/R, ROTUMA (OC-060). Tony, FO5RK, reports that his planned DXpedition to Rotuma as 3D2AG/P is on schedule. His operation will take place between December 2007 and January 2008. Actual dates will be announced later. Tony will be managing his own QSL requests upon his return home. QSL only direct and please include either 2 USDs or 1 IRC with a SAE for your QSL card. The QSL cards are being printed by UX5UO and the DXpedition is being sponsored by SPIDERBEAM. 4L, GEORGIA. Operator Gia, 4L4WW, will be active during the CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (80m)/High-Power entry. He expects to use a 3 element Yagi and inverted V during the contest. QSL via EA7FTR.

4O, MONTENEGRO. Look for Montenegro to be active during the CQ World Wide RTTY DX Contest on September 29th and 30th as 4O3A. Ranko Boca will air 4O3A from his Montenegrin Premium Contest Resort. He'll be hosting a young team of operators from Slovenia and Italy who will be operating in the Multi-Multi category with multiple stacks and testing a new radio room layout before the SSB and CW versions of the CQ WW. Operators include S50XX, S50YL, S52X, S55O, S57MM, IV3YWT, IV3TMV, 4O3NET, 4O4A, 4O3A, 4O3Z, YU1YV and possibly S51TA. The station now has two new rotary towers as well as a two element yagi on 80 meters. This is just one of many contest activities being organized by Ranko and the SKY Contest Club. The RTTY contest will focus on supporting young contesters and giving opportunities to local youngsters to learn and feel what contesting is all about. Ranko is in the process of fully automating the station and is planning to organize a contest school for youngsters all over the world. For all who need QSL cards from 4O3A - good news. QSLs from past contest operations from 2007 will be sent via the bureau this month and logs will be uploaded on LoTW. In the future all QSL cards will be sent via the bureau twice a year as well as being uploaded to LoTW.

4X, ISRAEL. Operators Paul/4X6UU and Isaac/4Z4TL will be active as 4X2Z during the CQ World Wide DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL via 4X6UU. Activity will be from the Mikve Israel Agricultural School club station.

6Y, JAMAICA. John, W2GB, will be active as 6Y0B from October 23-30th. He will also be active during the CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Single-Op entry. QSL via W2GB.

7Q, MALAWI. Ely, IN3VZE, informs OPDX that he will be active "Holiday Style" from the southwest shore of Lake Malawi between October 4-25th. His callsign will be 7Q7CE, and he will be on all bands. 8P, BARBADOS. Dean, 8P6SH, will be active as 8P2K during the CQ World Wide DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m) entry. QSL via KU9C.

9K, KUWAIT. Jon, KL2A, will be active as 9K2A during the CQ World Wide DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL direct or by the bureau to 9K2HN.

9M6, EAST MALAYSIA. Operators Seiichiro, JF1SQC, will be active as 9M6LSC during the CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via JF1SQC.

9U, BURUNDI. By the time you read this, Sigi, DL7DF, and his team of operators should be active as 9U0A. Operators mentioned are: Manfred/DK1BT, Wolf/DL4WK, Sigi/DL7DF and XYL Sabine, Jan/DL7UFN, Frank/DL7UFR and Leszek/SP3DOI. Activity should last until October 9th. Operations will be on 160-6 meters on CW and SSB. One station will be exclusive on RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV. There will be a special emphasis on the lower bands and digital modes. A5, BHUTAN. Ed, N1UR, is expected to be active from Bhutan as A52UR between September 28th and October 2nd. Activity will be on all bands CW/SSB. QSL via K2RET.

AH6, HAWAII. Members of the new formed "Coconut Wireless Contest Club" will be active as AH6XX in CQ's World Wide DX SSB and CW Contests this October and November. Operators for the phone contest will be John/K1ER, Rich/K2WR, Tetsuo/AH7C and Kan/JA1BK (KH6BK). Operators for the CW Contest will be Tetsuo/AH7C and Kan/JA1BK (KH6BK).

C9, MOZAMBIQUE (Update/Date Change). Wayne, W5KDJ, will be going back to Africa in November. He will be active as C91KDJ, November 15-28th. Wayne will concentrate on CW and possibly some RTTY. His plans are to be active in the CQWW DX CW Contest. His QTH will be about 50 kilometers north of Maputo. Grid Square: KG64ik. Antennas include a 72 foot vertical for 160/80m, 4 Square 40m, dipole for 30m, and a 2 & 3 element yagis at 60 ft for 20-10m. QSL via W5KDJ. CU2, AZORES. Operator Toni, OH2UA, will be active as CU2A during the CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry. QSL via OH2BH.

EA6, BALEARIC ISLANDS. Javi, LU5FF, will be active as EA6/LU5FF from Can Picafort, Mallorca (EU-004), between now and November 16th. Activity will be on 30/20/17/15/12/10 meters using CW and SSB.

EY8, TAJIKISTAN. Nodir, EY8MM, will be active during the CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (possibly 160m or 80m)/High-Power entry, and the CQ World Wide DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (160m)/High-Power entry. FM, MARTINIQUE (NA-107). Philippe (ex-F8EFU) has received a work assignment to Martinique (DIFO FM-001) and has been issued the callsign FM5LD. It is not clear on the length of his stay, but he operates mainly CW on 30m with a barefoot 50w rig into a wire which is expected to be replaced as soon as possible by a new antenna suitable for DX. H40, TEMOTU PROVINCE. "The Daily DX" reports that operators Mike/KM9D and Jan/KF4TUG are now heading to Tikopia Island (OC-178) and plan to be active as H40MY (possibly in the next few days). Details on their estimated time of arrival, length of stay and operating plans are unknown at this time.

HR, HONDURAS. Dan, HR2DMR, is expected to be active in the CQ WW RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m)/Low-Power entry.

HR, HONDURAS. Alex, K2BB, will be active as HR2/K2BB during the CQWW DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th). QSL via home call.

HV50/HV6SP, VATICAN. Look for two new callsigns to be activated soon from the Vatican. The first one is scheduled to hit the airwaves on September 27th. The callsign HV50VR (Vatican Radio) will be activated to mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Vatican's Santa Maria di Galeria broadcasting site. HV50VR will also be participating in upcoming contests. QSL direct via IW0GPN. There is a possibility of LoTW uploads. IK0FVC has been authorized to use this callsign. Also, look out for HV6SP. Further details are to follow for this, but QSL via IK0FVC.
