Imus Back in the Saddle after six month fiasco

By PETER LAURIA and SAMUEL GOLDSMITH

October 16, 2007 -- Don Imus is coming back to radio.
The nation's No. 1 talk station, WABC Radio, will begin airing Imus starting the first week in December, sources close to the deal confirmed yesterday.
That means he'll be back in the host's chair just six months after he was fired by CBS Radio for nastily insulting the Rutgers University women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos."
The deal will net Imus between $5 million and $8 million annually, the sources said.
Like his previous deal with CBS Radio and MSNBC, Imus plans to syndicate his new show on TV, although no television pact is expected until after he officially joins WABC Radio, sources said.
