Central African Republic signs for new radio station

On Mar 17, the president of the High Council of Communication and the director of the Integrated Community Developpement International (ICDI) signed a document in Bangui authorizing the installation of a new radio station in Boali, 80 km northwest of Bangui.

The location is chosen because electricity is available at all times in this city and also because Boali is higher in the mountains than Bangui. The radio will talk about HIV, poverty, orphans and also evangelism, all subjects of interest in the Central African Republic. It is hoped that all human and material ressources will be available before the official opening in August this year. But this station is already testing on the frequencies of 6030 and 7160. ICDI is the 5th private radio station with national coverage in the Central African Republic, and the first to be heard around 1000 km, i.e. all the territory. www.acap-cf.info via Kuhl in DXplorer, Mar 29.
