New Vision receives radio equipment

By Alfred Wasike

THE VISION Group on Saturday received the equipment for its radio station, due to be launched by the end of the year.

“We have received the equipment for the mast,” said the company’s procurement manager, Sam Aderubo.

“We are soon erecting a 60-metre mast on one of the high points in Kampala. Our installation engineers are on site.”

The equipment was supplied by world famous Broadcast Supply Worldwide, an electronic media company based in the US.

“It is part of our grand plan for the electronic media,” commented corporation secretary Gervase Nyanabo when receiving the equipment.

“We want to have a full integration of all media, telling a story using many platforms and fora. These are exciting times for us,” Ndyanabo said.

In July, the company’s chief executive officer, Robert Kabushenga, announced that the Vision Group was set to spread its tentacles into the broadcasting industry. “We are ready to set up a television and radio station,” he said.
