Bolivia
4699.40, Radio San Miguel, 1020-1030 At tune in, noted music with a male in Spanish Comments afterwards. Signal's peak period has already passed with it now being

4716.7, Radio Yura, 0051-0105, May 14, Spanish. Announcers with music and talk. Signal very weak. Station ID at 0100 then right back to mx; poor-fair. (S. Barbour-NH)

4754.9 Radio Imaculada Conceicao (Campo Grande), 0418-0433, 5/16/2008, Portuguese. Religious call-in program. alk, a short prayer, and a few bars of music for each caller.
Longer musical selection at 0430. Moderate signal with static from local storms (SINPO 34232). Announcements by man and woman at 0433. (Jim Evans, TN)

4754.9, Radio Imaculada Conceicao, 0300-0315, May 16, Portuguese. Countless announcers with brief religous talks and various music bits, Signal poor-fair.(S. Barbour, NH)

China
6060, Sichuan PBS-2, 1331-1404, May 13, in Chinese. Not the usual music programming due to the devastating earthquake in that area, mostly just man
and woman having conversation, some Chinese ballads. Even with the quake this is still on the air. For the last few weeks has been heard with above average reception, fair to almost good. (R Howard, CA)

9940 (North Korea) Reform Radio. (presumed) 1313-1330* May 13.Low-key talks in Korean. Plug was pulled at exactly 1330:00. Fair signal.Listed via Taiwan. (J. Wilkins, CO)

4880 (South Africa to Zimbabwe) SW Radio Africa 1820 talk about Zimbabwe in English and vernaculars. Asking the question of what expats can do to help those still in the country. Started news in English at 1824. No sign of any jamming. (H. Johnson May 16)

6210 Radio Kahuzi 1740 Unshackled program in English. 1749 ID in English by Richard McDonald (I recognized his voice.) One song. 1753 French. 1759 another ID by Richard and into VOA in English at 1800. (H. Johnson May 16)

9470 Voice of Croatia via Germany. 0600-0603, May 16, short English news bulletin to 0603. ID. Instrumental music at 0604. Weak but readable. Very weak on // 6165-via Croatia. (B. Alexander, PA)

9925. Voice of Croatia via Germany. 0200-0215, May 16, English "Croatia Today" program with news, sports & weather. Very good, strong signal. Still announcing they are on both 7285 & 9925 until May 15, but 7285 not heard. Heard // 3984.81-via Croatia-weak but (B Alexander, PA)

Guatemala
4052.5 Radio Verdad. 0412. 18 May 08. Spanish. Exceptional signal strength and quality for this station. Full ID with freq and full postal address followed by gospel music in England and Spanish. Signal S9+10/VG. (J. Wood, TN).

Honduras
3340 HRMI (Tegucigalpa). 0402. 18 May 08. Spanish. Presumed reception of this station. Male announcer with inspirational segment and lots of dead air. Signal S7/Fair. (Wood, TN).

4604.94 Radio Republik Indonesia-Serui 1159-1210 May 14. Song-of-the Coconut Island interval signal, followed by Jakarta. Noted on // 4790.04. Fair signal. (J. Wilkins, CO)

4790.04 Radio Republik Indonesia-Fak-Fak 1224-1240 May 14. Indo vocal selections to lady announcers text. Signal fair with CODAR interference. (J Wilkins, CO),

9525.97 Voice of Indonesia 1259-1306 May 13. Japanese transmission closing with website and emaila ddresses. English identificaiton at 1301. Program followed by Korean service with web info given again, then into talk by announcers talk. Strong here, S9+20 dB. (J Wilkins, CO)

Lithuania
9875, Radio Vilnius, 2332-2359*, May 16, English news. Features on local school & local resort town. IDs. Sign off with local music. Booming in with a very good signal. In the clear without any sign of Chinese music jammer. (B. Alexander, PA)

11690, Radio Vilnius, *0000-0100*, May 17, Sign on with local music & programming in Lithuanian. English at 0029-0100 with news at 0031 and repeat of 2330 broadcast. Just like the 9875 frequency they were booming in with a very good signal. In the clear without any sign of Chinese music jammer. (B. Alexander, PA)

Malaysia
15295 Voice of Malaysia (Kajang) (presumed), 1206-1212, 5/17/2008, Chinese. Talk by man followed by local pop music at 1210. Poor signal (SINPO 24222), but best reception on this
frequency in years. Usually have local noise here, but barely audible below VoM this morning. Parallel with similar signal noted on 11884.7 (Jim Evans, TN)

Mali
9635, RTVM, Bamako, *0800-0820, May 16, Sign on with French ID announcements along with tune on local instrument. French and vernacular talk after 0801. Some indigenous music at 0804. Weakbut readable. (B. Alexander, PA)

Papua New Guinea
3290 Radio Central (p) 1133-1200* May 12. Non-stop vocal music to 1159.l Lady announcer with closing announcement, possibly in English and brief anthem. Signal fair at best. (J Wilkins, CO)
3345 Radio Northern 1102-1131 May 12. News by announcer in English at 1106 she proclaimed "This news is coming to you from NBC Popondetta" (a Radio Northern ID was heard earlier); 1109-1130. Announcement in Pidgin language interspersed with short bursts of island music. Tuned out at 1130, spot-checking occasionally - still going good at 1215 with island music. Signal fair at 1240 UTC. 3335 Radio East Sepik (Wewak), 1132-1135, 5/17/2008, Pidgin(?). Talk by man followed by PNG pop music. Very poor signal, peaking occasionally above the noise. One of only three
PNG stations heard this morning (also 3385 and 3905). Even worse for Indonesians, with only weak carriers on 4604.9 and 4750. (J. Evans, TN)

6925USB Wolverine Radio. 0250-0327*. 18 May 08. English. Very nice program consisting of Motown and Beach music. IDs heard at 0309 and 0327. Very strong signal with reports seen from Scotland. G-VG. (J. Wood, TN).

3320 Radio Sondergrense (Meyerton). 0355-0410. 18 May 08. Afrikaans. OM with news and ID at 0400 UTC. Back into news. Signal S7/Fair. (J. Wood, TN).

South Korea
6155, KBS/World Radio 0945-1000. Noted a male and female in Japanese language comments until 0956. At that time music presented until 0959. Full ID in English by a male at 0959. Off the air at 1000. Signal was poor. (C. Bolland, May 18, 2008)

Zambia
5915 & 6165 ZNBC "Network News" on both freqs. News ended at 1818. It was sponsored by Celltel which ran an ID at this time about big savings on sending SMS messages.
