6105, Radio Racja, via Warsaw, 1925, Jun 26, transmitter already on with characteristic rumbling sound, Radio Racja ID and talk 1930, fair strength, stronger at 2100 recheck. This broadcast is now the only transmission from Poland on SW.
(Barraclough in Contact via Taylor). Cf. DX-Window no. 327. (Ed)
9490, R Free North Korea (p), via Taiwan, 1040-1050, Jun 30, Korean talks by male and female, 24332. (Slaen)

9525, Star Radio, Liberia, via Ascension Island, has a temporary closure, but replaced by Cotton Tree News at 0700-0730. (Vestesen, Jul 07). Cf. my observation in DX-Window no. 327. (Petersen)

9525, Cotton Tree News, Sierra Leone, via Ascension, *0700-0745, Jul 07, carrier s/on - but audio came first at 0705 with drum sounds and clear ID in English as "Cotton Tree News broadcast programmes of news and information...." and "Cotton Tree News is funded by DC, the European Union, Irish Aid and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation". Clear ID on a mp3-file on request. 34333 (Vestesen). Also heard 0742-0752, Jun 29, sounded like CTN news program in Vernacular, *0744 mixing with Voice of Indonesia. CTN seemed to end at 0752, poor. (Howard). I received in two months the Hirondelle-style QSL, similar to Ndeke Luka and Star, direct from Sierra Leone for postal report with a CD recording of their signal. It has CTN logo and full-data except for site on one side, Fondation Hirondelle name, address (Switzerland), logo, URL on the other. V/S appears to be George Bennett, who is their Editor in Chief. (Berg, Jul 09)

9765, Radio Voice of the People, via Madagascar, *0357-0417, Jun 30, open carrier until 0400 musical opening followed by a man with ID and frequency ann in local language and English. News and various reports with "Radio Voice of the People, VOP" IDs. Good signal. (D'Angelo)

S. based religious daily programme in Hmong to East and Southeast Asia at 2300-2330 first changed frequency from 11650 and then changed time to 2330-2400. There are about 4 million Hmong speakers in the world, most of them in China (3 million), followed by Vietnam (790.000), Laos (320.000) and Thailand (150.000). In the USA, there are about 275.000 Hmong speakers. Broker TDP. (Ivanov, via BC-DX and Gupta, Jul 02, and Trutenau in DXplorer, Jul 03)
