Radio
has been a beacon of hope and a way to spread good feelings in bad times for
over a century. In that spirit, WBCQ The Planet, courtesy of Allan and Angela
Weiner, will present WBCQ’s
Big Broadcast of 2020 as a special simulcast on 5130 and 7490
kHz on Tuesday, May 5 from 2100-2200 UTC (5pm-6pm EDT in the US).
This
collaborative broadcast will feature the presenters and music of some of WBCQ’s
most innovative music offerings including an introduction from Area 51 and a
taste of Marion’s Attic, Uncle Bill’s Melting Pot, From the Isle of Music, beHAVior Night and the Lost Discs Radio Show.
This is a chance to escape that
COVID-19 gloom for an hour and maybe discover a new favorite program in the
bargain.
