On September 1, 2024 we celebrated our 4th anniversary. On June 1, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM CET on 5990 kHz we will broadcast again. If you receive us, please let us know by e-mail or fill in the reception form.

Welcome to Radio Classic Sunday

We broadcast every last Sunday of the month on 6185 Khz AM. *09:00 to 12:00 (CET).

*on 27-11-2022 we only broadcast for 2 hours from 10:00 am to 12:00 am

Radio Classic Sunday is a radio project by René van Elst, Mart Walther and Jan Staphorst. We focus our radio programs on the Netherlands and Western Europe. Our shortwave transmitter is stationed in the east of the Netherlands with a broadcasting power of 1 kW legally permitted transmitting power. Our presentation language is primarily Dutch and the music format is gold of old.

Radio Classic Sunday special broadcast

New shortwave radio station Radio Classic Sunday 5940 kHz, will look back on the offshore radio stations of that time on August 30, 2020, from 0700-1000 UTC. 

Music from that time and many jingles will be featured. Caroline, Mi Amigo, Laser 558, Radio Veronica, Voice of Peace and many more will be featured that morning.

Disc jockeys Mart Walther, Rene van Elst and Jan Staphorst are the initiators behind this opportunity radio station.The broadcast will air all over Europe via shortwave on 5940 kHz. The broadcasts will later be available on the Internet.
