*** The State We're In - Midweek Edition ***

Zimbabwe is in transition as the Movement for Democratic Change is finally sharing power with long-time strongman Robert Mugabe. So we're devoting all of this week's show to the East African nation.

We'll speak with former independence fighter turned MDC Water Minister Sam Nkomo, who is prepared to "ride on the Lion's back to cross the river" if it will get the country back on its feet. But we also meet a woman whose water is totally undrinkable.

The head of one of Zimbabwe's only free media outlets, the Voice of People, tells us about the time the station was bombed.

We meet Rastafarian musician Bhekithemba Nkomo whose hit song "Mugabe is a Thief" landed him in jail and exile.

These stories and much more in this "The State We're In" Zimbabwe special.

'God Is Quick To Punish' - by Jeroen Olyslaegers

Belgian author and playwright Jeroen Olyslaegers has been called the "enfant terrible" of Dutch literature. His work is often inspired by films. On one drunken night as his wife is about to leave him, he has a terrifying vision of his future. Can it be changed or is it too late?
