We are currently testing four new antenna directions from Bonaire on 6 MHz only. In the past two months we have modified antenna C1 so that it also can broadcast to South America. As from next Sunday Vatican Radio and NHK Radio Japan will use these new antenna directions into South America for their Portuguese and Spanish transmissions.The tests began on 19 March and will run for the rest of the week. The schedule of remaining transmissions is as follows:
23/25 March 2011:
0630-0659 UTC 6170 kHz (140°)
0700-0730 UTC 6170 kHz (175°)
22/24/26 March 2011:
0630-0659 UTC 6170 kHz (155°)
0700-0730 UTC 6170 kHz (170°)
All transmissions are 250 kW with Spanish language. Reception reports from South America are welcomed via rnwmonitoring@gmail.com .
