BBC World Service and the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

 



The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, is scheduled to broadcast on BBC World Service. It is based around nine Bible readings, which tell the story of the loving purposes of God. They are interspersed with carols old and new, sung by the world-famous Choir of King’s College Cambridge, which also leads the
the congregation in traditional Christmas hymns. 

It will be broadcast (as every year) on Christmas Eve, 24 December, from 1500-1630UTC, on the following scheduled frequencies:

1500-1600: 9410-sla, 12025-sng
1600-1630: 7445-mdc, 12065-sng, 17640-asc, 17830-asc, 21630-asc
(It is possible that some frequencies may be extended later or earlier to accommodate the transmission).
