SW Radio Africa launches SMS service with Dutch support

With support from the Netherlands Institute for Southern Africa (NiZA), SW Radio Africa has launched a new SMS service. From today, listeners can receive information on the frequency and the latest headlines on their mobile phone. The service was announced last night on air and the listenership has already responded overwhelmingly. NiZA and SW Radio Africa hope an increasing number of people will be able to find the frequency and will be able to receive the latest news and information on and from Zimbabwe.
Anyone with a friend or relative in Zimbabwe (or elsewhere) who would like to receive this service please is asked to email their mobile phone number to: talk@swradioafrica.com.
