Ohio / Penn DX Bulletin

Madagascar
5R, Remco, PG0A, has once again returned here and will be active as 5R8NL until December 7th. His first operation was back in 2005. Activity will be a "holiday style" operation. He will be using a FT-857 with an amplifier using verticals and some wire antennas. Remco was heard this past week only on CW and on 40/20/17/15/10 meters at various times throughout the day; earlier as 0830z and as late as 2030z. OPDX was informed by Dennis, PA7FM, that Remco is not into QSLing at all, and effective immediately, PA7FM has taken over Remco's QSL job for this operation as well as the earlier operations. Dennis states, "There's a small backlog of direct QSL request that will be cleared after this operation as soon as possible. Apologies for that to those awaiting an answer." He also mentions that a small Web site will become available online with the possibility of online logs and more photos when the internet connection is good enough. Please remember this is a holiday style operation with just one operator, so no 24 hour around the clock operation.
